Order once, nothing to cancel
CookUnity lists three ways to order in its terms: an express order, a one-time order “without a recurring subscription commitment”, and a weekly plan. The one-time order is prepared meals to heat, in the same sizes as its plans.
Blue Apron says in its terms that all its products are available without a subscription. You buy kits and prepared dishes one at a time; Subscribe & Save, its recurring order, is optional, and Blue Apron+ is a separate shipping membership that sends no boxes.
One-off programs and add-on shops
Two services sell something once beside their weekly plans. Daily Harvest’s 21-Day Routine Reset is a prepaid program of three weekly boxes; its questions page says nothing renews and no subscription is created. Splendid Spoon’s Marketplace takes as-needed purchases that are separate from its subscription account. Neither is a weekly dinner box, so check what arrives before you count it as one.
Where the maker’s own pages disagree
Dinnerly’s pages call the subscription optional for a customised order without saying whether that covers its fixed boxes. Marley Spoon’s minimum-order page allows an order without a subscription, while its answer about one-off orders has you sign up and then cancel. Until their own pages agree, we do not list either as a one-time box. If you try one, keep the cancellation steps and the cutoff to hand: Dinnerly, Marley Spoon.
One box from a weekly plan
Every other service in the table runs as a weekly plan. To get a single box, order it, then cancel or skip the following weeks before the next cutoff, which falls three to seven days before delivery at most services. Miss it and the second box ships and is charged. Each service’s page gives the steps and the cutoff, and the skip, pause or cancel planner works out the date for your delivery and puts a weekly reminder in your calendar.
An introductory discount can cover one box or several, so check when yours ends, and compare the full price you pay after it: what every service costs at full price.
