Trifecta delivery, storage and recycling

Where it delivers

All 50 states, arriving Friday or Saturday; $12.99 shipping, or $49.99 to Alaska and Hawaii. On Trifecta’s site: Where does Trifecta deliver?

How it arrives

Flash-frozen after cooking and vacuum-sealed, then thawed on the way to arrive chilled; the box is usually left at the door. On Trifecta’s site: Are Trifecta meals delivered frozen? and Will Trifecta deliver if I’m not home?

In the fridge

Into the fridge on arrival, where meals keep 7 days, by its questions pages; its plan page says 6 to 10. On Trifecta’s site: How long do Trifecta meals last?

In the freezer

Freeze on arrival whatever you won’t eat within 7 days: up to 3 months; move a meal to the fridge a day before to thaw. On Trifecta’s site: Can I freeze Trifecta meals?

Recycling the box

Rinse the plastic trays and recycle them; the insulation panels go in paper recycling, and the ice packs can be drained and the case recycled. On Trifecta’s site: Is Trifecta packaging recyclable?

Skip, pause or cancel Trifecta

1. Edit, skip or pauseAny time before the cutoff
2. CutoffChanges and skips until 11:59 PM Pacific on the Friday a week before delivery; its terms ask for seven full business days’ notice to cancel
3. LockedAfter the Friday cutoff the order is charged on Saturday morning and locked: it still ships, and a cancellation stops only the deliveries after it.
4. DeliveredThe locked box arrives

Change, skip or pause by 11:59 PM Pacific on the Friday a week before delivery. Trifecta writes 11:59 PM PT, the Friday before your delivery, and charges your card the next morning, when the order locks. To cancel, its terms ask for seven full business days’ notice by phone or email. Why some times are approximate.

To skip or change a box:

1. Open My Account and click Manage Subscription, or the Subscriptions tab.
2. Click More Details on the subscription, then Skip Weeks at the top right.
3. Choose up to four delivery dates to skip: skipped weeks turn black and the button changes to Unskip. The app has the same steps under Shop.

To cancel:

1. Contact Trifecta’s support team by phone, email or the live chat on its site; the number and address are on its cancel page, linked below.
2. Give your name, your subscription number or account email, and say that you want to cancel your subscription.
3. Do it at least seven full business days before your next delivery, as its terms ask: by the Tuesday ten days before a Friday delivery or the Wednesday ten days before a Saturday one. Phone and chat answer from 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific, seven days a week; email any time.
