How Sunbasket works

Meal kits and single-serving prepared meals can be mixed in one weekly order.

Recipes serve two or four. Order two or more dinners, with at least four servings in all. Sunbasket does not publish a fixed list of box sizes.

Classic kits: Recipes for two or four; most take 30 minutes or less, by Sunbasket’s description.

Pre-Prepped kits: Recipes for two or four with the chopping, measuring and sauces done; described as 15 to 20 minutes.

Fresh & Ready: Single prepared meals that heat in as little as four minutes, by Sunbasket’s description.

Sunbasket delivery, storage and recycling

Where it delivers

How it arrives
Insulated liners and ice packs keep the food fresh for several hours, and no signature is needed, so you don’t need to be home. On Sunbasket’s site: Do I need to be home to receive my Sunbasket delivery?
In the fridge
Unopened kit ingredients keep 4 to 7 days in the fridge: cook fish within 3 days, and chicken, beef and pork within 3 to 5. Prepared & Ready meals keep 5 to 7 days (another of its help articles says they ship frozen). In the freezer

Recycling the box

Something missing or damaged

To skip or change a box:

  1. Log in and open Schedule.
  2. Skip the week you do not want before the Wednesday cutoff.

To cancel:

  1. Sign in at sunbasket.com.
  2. Click your profile name or icon and select Account Settings.
  3. Click Manage My Subscription, then Cancel My Subscription.
  4. Follow the prompts and give a reason. A confirmation email follows.
