How much Blue Apron costs

Blue Apron prices each dish in its shop, so there is no box total to add up. Shipping is $11.49 an order.

Membership. Blue Apron+ costs $9.99 a month and includes shipping, which is otherwise $11.49 an order. It pays for itself from one order a month; in a month with no order you pay it for nothing. The membership sends no boxes; it renews automatically, and its 30-day free trial becomes a paid membership unless you cancel before the trial ends (Blue Apron’s terms and membership page, checked 10 Oct 2026).

The first-box deal is a separate, lower number that applies only at the start. Work out your own cart after the deal.

How Blue Apron works

Relaunched catalog with meal kits, prepared meals, a la carte ordering, optional membership, and optional autoship.

Membership and autoship are optional, distinct choices. Turning off autoship cannot stop an order that is already processing. Older Blue Apron box structures do not describe the relaunched catalog.

20 Min Meals: Kits Blue Apron describes as 20 minutes or less. You choose the servings and quantity of each.

Assemble & Bake: At most five minutes of hands-on work before the oven, by Blue Apron’s description.

Dish prepared meals: Ready-made dishes, each with its own serving size, bought one at a time.

Where it delivers

How it arrives

Left at the door if you’re not home, with insulated liners and gel packs that usually keep it cold for several hours. On Blue Apron’s site: Terms of use

In the fridge

No single shelf life: keep fish and shellfish in the fridge no more than 2 days, and use meat and poultry by the package directions. On Blue Apron’s site: Food safety

In the freezer

Recycling the box

Something missing or damaged

Email Blue Apron within 7 days. It may replace the item, refund it in full or in part, or give a credit, and may ask for a photo. On Blue Apron’s site: Terms of use

Skip, pause or cancel Blue Apron

Change, skip or pause by the date shown below each scheduled delivery. Blue Apron shows the last date to change each order below its scheduled delivery date. Why some times are approximate.

To skip or change a box:

1. In the app: go to Orders, tap the order, tap Manage Order at the bottom left, then Skip at the top right.
2. On a computer: go to Orders, click the order, click the blue bar at the bottom, then Manage Order and Skip, and confirm.

To cancel:

1. Go to Account, then Subscribe & Save (Blue Apron’s recurring orders), where all its settings are.
2. Tap Cancel Plan and follow the prompts to confirm. There is no cancellation fee, and your settings are kept if you re-enroll.
