A lower price, or a price you can add up
Home Chef’s homepage and help page give different starting prices per serving, and its weekly minimum includes shipping. EveryPlate states a lower rate per serving, in the table, and Dinnerly and Marley Spoon publish the whole price of every box, shipping included, so you know the bill before you sign up.
A pause that keeps your plan
Home Chef’s pause cancels your plan, with an optional date to restart it. Sunbasket lets you pause for up to 12 weeks, Purple Carrot for 6, 8 or 10 and CookUnity for up to 8, and Dinnerly lets you skip up to 8 weeks ahead: how long you can pause each meal kit.
A box for three
Home Chef’s Standard menu serves two, four or six people and its Family menu four or eight, but neither serves three. HelloFresh and Marley Spoon sell a box for three people.
No subscription
CookUnity sells a one-time order of prepared meals and Blue Apron sells every dish once: meal kits without a subscription.
